The hand a.k.a. Still Standing

Invasive Interventionism is a fusion of sculpting and graffiti, illustrating various themes of our time, with the urban landscape as a canvas. It aims to restore everyday art. In antiquity and in places such as ancient Athens, sculptures were part of everyday life. Representations of gods and mortals, acting as a history log of each era’s important events. Nowadays, the majority of statues and sculptures are kept in museums and galleries, so as to ensure their integrity and protect our history. The project repositions art on the streets and in our daily routines, urging the observer to make a decision: Is it an exhibit or an intervention?

The first chapter is called The hand a.k.a. Still Standing and it is inspired by the Syrian refugees.
